The landing ships include (from bottom to center): LSM-264, LST-724, LST-760, LST-788, LST-808 (with a LCT embarked), and LST-779 (carrying a pontoon causeway). The original photograph came from the illustrations package for Rear Admiral Samuel Eliot Morison's History of United States Naval Operations in World War II, volume XIV: Victory in the Pacific. It was provided to Morison by E.J. Long. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, from the collections of the Naval History and Heritage Command.
