Caption: This insignia was adopted in 1967 and was unofficially in use for several years prior to that time. It features as symbols the corps device of the Navy Civil Engineers, the U.S. Navy anchor, and a globe representing the laboratory's world-wide responsibilities. The Latin motto is freely translated from Rear Admiral Robert E. Perry's statement, "I will find a way or make one." Photographed in 1968.
