Description: (American Steam Tug, 1913) In drydock, prior to her World War I Navy service. Built at Eagle Harbor, Washington, Arctic was chartered by the Navy on 4 December 1917 and placed in commission as USS Arctic (SP-1158) on 15 January 1918. She was decommissioned at Havana, Cuba, on 8 July 1919 and turned over to her owners. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
