Title: Mallory, Stephen Russell
Caption: Honorable Stephen Russell Mallory, Secretary of The Confederate States Navy. Born in Trinidad, West Indies, 1813; he came to U.S. in 1820. Admitted to bar in 1839 and was a U.S. Senator 1851-57. He was arrested at the close of the civil war and held for 10 months. Upon his release he returned to Pensacola where he practiced law until he died 9 November 1873.
