Title: President Franklin D. Roosevelt
Caption: This was President Roosevelt's favorite watercolor of himself which he autographed and gave to Mrs. Roosevelt, 30 June 1944. The painting was made by Elizabeth Shoumatoff in April 1943. It was presented to USS FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT (CVA-42) by Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt. The painting was returned to the FDR Library when the ship was decommissioned.
