Title: Flagstaff from USS CONSTITUTION
Caption: Lower foreyard arm of USS CONSTITUTION which was presented to Topeka High School, Topeka, Kansas, in dedication ceremonies on Navy Day, 27 October 1930. The staff was obtained for the school through the efforts of Vice President Charles Curtis, a former student of Topeka High School. Guests of honor at the assembly included Mrs. J. A. Sarver, maker of the flag; Governor Harry H. Woodring; Mayor Omar B. Ketchum; Senator Arthur Copper; and other prominent citizens.
