Caption: The Curtiss F-5L was used by the Navy as a patrol plane. It carried a crew of four and a maximum speed of 90 mph at sea level. They carried six to eight flexible 30-inch machine guns and four 230 pound bombs. This photograph, circa 1924, was taken at San Diego, California.
