Caption: This emblem was adopted about 1958. It features "Aeolus," the Greek God of the wind, blowing on a reel of grapnel rope by which cable is recovered from the sea floor. The buoy is used to support the bitter end of a cable, while the cable repair ship is retrieving ties remaining length.
