Philippine Invasion, 1941-1942.
Title: Philippine Invasion, 1941-1942.
Caption: American propaganda posters in Iloilo City, Panay, photographed after its occupation by the Japanese on 12 April 1942. Copied from the Japanese book: "Philippine Expeditionary Force," published in 1943. Original Japanese caption: "It was startling to see the large anti-Japanese posters in Iloilo City, for we had not seen any of them in Manila or in Bataan Peninsula. We had seen them for the first time on Panay. The people who had put faith in the Americans and were later saved by our forces, came to see through the false claims of the Americans and began to possess an utter hate for them."
