Title: IDZUMO (Japanese Armored Cruiser)
Caption: View taken at Shanghai, China, 18 August 1937, while serving as Japanese Third Fleet flagship under the pennant of Vice Admiral Kiyoshi Hasegawa. Note the padding around exposed and thinly armored positions aboard ship as an anti-sniper precaution. Note also the Japanese torpedo boats upstream (immediately astern and upstream at Garden Bend). The IDZUMO was commissioned in 1898.
