Caption: Being towed past a fort by a steamship. Painting signed and dated in lower right: "J.E. Buttersworth, 1867." Size: 10" x 7.75". This ship is flying the U.S. flag, but does not look like published plans of USS PENNSYLVANIA, the only U.S. "three-decker."
