Title: S.S. VETLUGA (U.S.S.R. Merchant Cargo Ship, 1918--?)
Caption: The Soviet Freighter VOLGA at San Francisco, California, early in World War II. On her bow she carries a paravane boom, while the object atop the fore mast is a signal rocket. VETLUGA was purchased in 1934 as the Dutch DRECHTSROOM. She was not reported in service after 1950 but probably survived in coastal trade.
