Caption: Photographed from aboard a Russian warship on 7 November 1914, as the ship was being sunk by gunfire by the Russian Black Sea Fleet Battle Squadron. This ship was built as PORT ROYAL and purchased by Turkey in 1911; it was one of several ships carrying supplies to Trebizond that were intercepted and sunk off Eregli on 7 November 1914.
