Title: French engraved allegory of the American Revolution,
Caption: Showing Britannia upbrading King Neptune, while pointing to Gustavus Conyngham. The English fleet is in full flight in the background, with victory deserting them. The print apparently is intended to signify a British los of seaborne security, resulting from Conyngham's raids of 1777-1778. Published in Nesser: "Letters and papers relating to the cruises of Gustavus Conyngham..." 1915. Credited to the Barnes collection, New York Historical Society.
