Description: (U.S. Motor Boat, 1916) Photographed circa 1916-1917. Reportedly commissioned by the Navy on 30 April 1917 as USS Absegami (SP-371), she was formally acquired a few days later, on 2 May. Following World War I service, she was returned to her owner on 6 December 1918. The original photograph is in Record Group 19-LCM in the National Archives.
