Title: Motor Boat Glendoveer
Description: (American Pleasure Craft, 1907) Photographed prior to her World War I era Navy service, while she was owned by Ernest Lee Jahncke, who later became Assistant Secretary of the Navy during the Hoover Administration. This boat was acquired by the Navy on 3 May 1917 and placed in commission on 9 May as USS Glendoveer (SP-292). Decommissioned on 8 February 1919, she was stricken on 17 June and sold on 2 September 1919. The original photograph is in Record Group 19-LCM in the National Archives.
