Caption: This operation was a series of search and clear amphibious landings made by Navy-Marine Corps units along the coast of South Vietnam. The surprise raids, usually made in the morning, involved Marines landing from US 7th fleet ships on amphibious boats and helicopters. The units sought out Viet Cong along the beach and in nearby villages.
