Caption: The USS KRISHNA (ARL-38), anchored off the island of Phu Quoc, was engaged in one of her most challenging and ambitious roles of her career. The USS KRISHNA was then serving as the only joint Navy-Coast Guard operations-communications center since World War II. The KRISHNA's mission was to mother the joint services patrol boats which prevented infiltration of supplies and ammunition to the Viet Cong, February 1966.
