UA 18.02.26 LSTs at Iwo Jima

<p>Marines re-embark on the U.S. Navy–manned <a href="https://www.history.navy.mil/content/history/nhhc/research/histories/ship-histories/danfs/l/lst-247.html"><i>LST-247</i></a> and the U.S. Coast Guard–manned <a href="https://www.history.navy.mil/content/history/nhhc/research/histories/ship-histories/danfs/l/lst-764.html"><i>LST-764</i></a> on 14 March 1945. <i>LST-247</i> had been damaged in a collision off Iwo Jima with attack cargo ship <a href="https://www.history.navy.mil/content/history/nhhc/research/histories/ship-histories/danfs/s/selinur.html"><i>Selinur</i> (AKA-41)</a> twelve days earlier.
