Description: 27 November 1942 Destroyer Le Mars nearly sunk after being scuttled at the Toulon Lazaret (Quarantine Station) on 27 November. The French flag still flying as her stern sinks beneath the surface. This is the third view of a series showing Le Mars capsizing to starboard and sinking by the bow. Note the large air bubble coming from her submerged forward hull and superstructure. The original print was received from the Office of Naval Intelligence.
