Description: (Identification code T32) At sea during World War II. Photo was dated 1943 by ONI. Note the 20mm Oerlikon anti-aircraft machine guns added on the forecastle (by the bridge front) and on the main deck (alongside the mainmast). The ship has a paravane on her fantail, but retains her after 130mm gun, and has a searchlight platform added to her foremast. Photos that appear to have been taken at the same time and by the same camera show two similar destroyers (T31 and T33) and the battleship Lorraine. They may have been taken after these ships joined the Allies. The original print was received from the Office of Naval Intelligence. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
