Caption: NC-3 left Trepassy Bay, NFLD., with NC-1 and NC-4 on the night of 16 May 1919. The three planes had departed from NAS Rockaway on 8 May. Only NC-4 made the Trans-Atlantic Flite successfully, reaching the Azores by air on 17 May. After a layover of 10 days, NC-4 covered the last leg of the crossing to Lisbon. She arrived at Plymouth, England on 31 May, where the Flite terminated. In the book "Morale", this painting was captioned: Plymouth, The Double Finish. LCDR Reuterdahl accompanied the Navy Trans-Atlantic Flight Expedition
