Caption: " Should old acquaintance be forget ---" So sing American and British Sailors and marines to mark the end of an old year and the beginning of a new one at America's furthest Northern outpost, -- Hvalfjordur Iceland. Here, ashore for a few hours liberty, the sailors forget the cares and worries of war, ( if they ever had any), and spend their time in song and laughter, drink their shares of American canned beer at 15 cents a bottle, have a swell time considering that there are no women within thirty miles of them, and only a bare Nilsson hut for a club -room. Happy New year, --say them all.
