Title: Insignia: Fleet Activities, Sasebo
Caption: Insignia adopted in 1960. It features the crest of the city of Sasebo, Japan, in the upper center, and a mooring buoy with anchors in the lower center. The latter symbol points out that Sasebo has the finest deep water harbor and anchorage in Asia. The Latin motto is translated "Ready for anything." The blue sky (upper background) indicates that only good can come to or from this command. Date of Photo: 1968.
