Caption: Torpedo boat built at Dubuque, Iowa. Steel, 120 tons displacement by Iowa Iron Works for U.S. Navy. Engaged in training cruises. Patrol duty around Cuba during Spanish-American War, taking part in Battle of Santiago. Later kept in reserve torpedo flotilla at Norfolk and Charleston. Decommissioned in 1912. Sunk in ordnance tests. Pen and ink drawing by Samuel Ward Stanton.
