Title: Vought OS2U "Kingfisher" salvage
Caption: Is salvaged by a Royal Canadian air force Piasecki H-21 helicopter in the spring of 1964. It had remained on the slopes of Mount Buxton, Calvert Island, British Columbia, since it crashed there on 20 August 1942. After reconstruction by the Vought Aeronautics' quarter century club, the OS2U was placed on display aboard the USS NORTH CAROLINA (BB-55) memorial at Wilmington, North Carolina, and was dedicated on 25 June 1971.
