Caption: The THORSHAMMER at San Francisco, California, about 1943, when in probable use as a tanker. THORSHAMMER served originally as the oil tanker SAN NAZARIO until her 1928 conversion for whaling, which built up her superstructure and included a stern chute, visible below the counter stern of the original ship. Broken up 1962.
