Caption: Stern view of the whaler THORSHAMMER taken at San Francisco, California. About 1943, showing her slipway for whale carcasses. When the ship was converted from the oil tanker SAN NAZARIO her engine up takes were split around the after chute which protruded out beyond the rudder. Ship scrapped 1962.
