Description: (American Barge, 1918) Under construction at the Harry Cossey Shipyard, Tottenville, New York, in 1918. Barge # 64 is partially visible in the left background. Built for the Moran Towing & Transportation Company, of New York City, Barge # 70 was inspected by the Third Naval District on 23 April 1918 and assigned the registry ID # 2678. Subsequently taken over by the Navy, she became Freight Lighter # 93 and later YF-93. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
