Caption: In 1813, the British 18-gun sloop HMS RECRUIT, Commander George Richard Pechell, with a crew reduced by sickness to 80 men, he contrived, notwithstanding, to capture and destroy several vessels, including the INCA, an American letter-of-marque of 6 guns and 35 men, which was driven on shore in the neighborhood of Charleston on 2 November 1813.
