This plan, dated 28 November 1940, is for a ship with a standard displacement of 8100 tons (9950 tons trial displacement) and a main battery of sixteen 5/54 guns. Its length is 570', beam is 59' and draft 20' 3. Powerplant has 100,000 horsepower for a speed of 33.5 knots. Scale of the original drawings is 1/32 = 1'.
