Caption: On 24 November 1812, the British 32-gun frigate HMS NARCISSUS, Captain John Rich Lumley, becalmed in the windward passage between Cuba and San Domingo along with an American schooner, sent away her boats under the command of his first lieutenant, John Cririe, who boarded and carried the privateer JOSEPH AND MARY of 40 guns and 73 men in the face of a heavy discharge of grape and langrage, with a loss to the British of 1 man killed and 1 wounded.
